What are Furniture Bazaar's Warranty Periods?

We want you to enjoy your Furniture Bazaar purchase with confidence.

Many of our products include a voluntary Furniture Bazaar or manufacturer’s warranty covering defects in materials or workmanship for a specified period. The exact warranty depends on the product, its components and the manufacturer.

You can find the warranty period that applies to your purchase on the product page, your tax invoice, sales documentation or warranty information supplied with the product.

The guide below outlines the warranty periods commonly offered across our range.

Lounges, Sofas and Recliners

Warranty periods can vary between lounge ranges and individual components.

Outdoor furniture should always be used and cared for according to the product instructions. Damage caused by inappropriate exposure, storage or maintenance may not be covered by a voluntary warranty.

Mattresses

Mattress warranties vary depending on the range and manufacturer.

SlumberCare Mattresses

Furniture Bazaar’s WA made SlumberCare mattresses come with

10 year Australian manufacturer’s guarantee

Other Mattresses

Other mattress ranges currently have manufacturer or product warranties that generally range from:

3 to 10 years

Please check the individual mattress product information or your purchase documentation for the warranty that applies.

To help protect your mattress and maintain warranty eligibility, mattresses should be kept clean and hygienic, used with a suitable mattress protector and rotated according to the manufacturer’s care instructions.

How Do I Know Which Warranty Applies to My Product?

Because warranty periods can vary between products and manufacturers, the warranty that applies to your individual purchase will be shown in one or more of the following places:

  • the product page on the Furniture Bazaar website
  • your tax invoice
  • your sales documentation
  • the manufacturer’s warranty information
  • other warranty documentation supplied with your product

Where there is a difference between this general guide and the warranty specifically stated for your product, the product specific warranty information will apply.

When Does My Warranty Start?

Unless otherwise stated, your voluntary warranty period begins from the original date of purchase shown on your tax invoice.

If a product is replaced under a voluntary warranty, the warranty period for the replacement product generally expires on the same date that the warranty for the original product would have expired.

What Does a Furniture Bazaar Warranty Cover?

Subject to the applicable warranty terms, a Furniture Bazaar voluntary warranty generally covers parts or materials found to have defects in manufacturing or workmanship during the applicable warranty period.

The appropriate solution will depend on the product and the nature of the issue and may include repair, replacement parts, replacement of the product or another appropriate remedy.

What Is Not Normally Covered?

A voluntary warranty may not cover problems caused by circumstances such as:

  • normal wear and tear
  • fabric pilling or fading associated with normal use
  • the normal softening of foam or cushioning
  • incorrect cleaning or maintenance
  • failure to follow product care instructions
  • misuse, accidental damage or neglect
  • incorrect assembly or modification
  • damage during transportation or storage after purchase
  • commercial use of furniture intended for normal domestic use
  • excessive sunlight, moisture, extreme temperatures or chemicals
  • exceeding a stated product weight capacity
  • a defect in floor stock or an As Is product that was specifically disclosed before purchase

If you are unsure whether an issue may be covered, please contact our Customer Support team.

Your Australian Consumer Law Rights

Our voluntary warranties are provided in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
